Sketch of Spock

Today's sketchbook caricature is the late, great Leonard Nimoy - best known as 'Spock' from Star Trek, who sadly died back in late February this year. I wouldn't call myself a 'Trekkie' as such but I really enjoyed watching the original Star Trek series on telly when I was a kid and I was sad to hear of his passing. And what a great face ol' Leonard had...a real gift for a caricaturist! There's a lot of different geometric shapes going on in his features for starters...and when you add in the crazy eyebrows, wig and of course, the ears, well a guy like me can have a field day! He was a joy to draw. Hope you like it.
